BioAbroad incorporates now scientists and people from the industry in life sciences, exact sciences as well as physicians.  
  • New tax relieves were approved by the Knesset for returning Israelis.  Read here the summary.
  • We wish successful job-talks to all the post-docs who applying these days to tenure-track positions in Israel and would like to inform you that a new program was proposed by the Malag (Moaza Lehascala Gvoha) to the the education committee of the Kneset.  It asks for a 167 Million NIS for bringing back Israeli scientists from abroad, read the article here.  We hope this will be materialized.
  • Our web site was recently updated and includes the section Links&Tips with links to human resources companies, professional associations and more. Our Open Positions section was also upgraded and we include now an internal search engine in our header.
  • Following two very successful Rosh Hashana events in Boston and Washington many people have joined us and our activity generated interest in the media

As always, we ask you to spread the word about our activity and suggest new ideas that will enable more people to return to find fullfilling jobs in Israel.

  • The Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University seeks outstanding candidates to fill tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor. Applications should be sent by October 31.   • Ben Gurion University and BioAbroad will collaborate in an effort to secure more positions for young researchers!  Ben Gurion's staff is currently checking BioAbroad web site for relevant candidates.   We are going to raise money together from philanthropists that will finance the laboratory cost and the first few years of the.  You can listen to Galei Zahal's interview with Prof. Varda Shoshan Barmatz here.  A press release about the collaboration is here.

BioAbroad started to contact medium size companies in Israel for checking employment opportunities for BioAbroad members.  We continue to collaborate with Teva on this issue and expect to include more companies in our spring job fair across the US.
